‘Thank You For Being The Greatest Stepfather’: Evelyn Lozada Pays Tribute To Her Stepfather Who Died from Coronavirus

Evelyn Lozada is mourning the death of her stepfather. Lozada, a longtime cast member of “Basketball Wives,” revealed her stepfather passed away from coronavirus on Monday, April 6. The reality star expressed her gratitude to him, using just the single name of Larry, through an Instagram posting on Tuesday, April 14.

Lozada shared a photo of the two of them posing warmly together. Lozada, a mother of two, paid tribute to her stepfather by sending him a heartfelt message. “On Monday 4/6/20 I lost my stepfather Larry to Covid-19 ??? Larry, as you sit in heaven enjoying the company of God, I say thank you for the great memories & thank you for being the greatest stepfather a girl can ask for! Happy birthday in paradise ♥️??,” she said.

The Brooklyn native shared an additional photo of Larry in his younger years wearing a New York Mets tank top as he held Lozada’s daughter, Shaniece Hariston, when she was an infant.

A few celebrities and fans issued their condolences to Lozada and her family.

Malaysia Pargo, a reality star from “BBW,” wrote, “So sorry E..Sending over my condolences to you in your family.”

Singer Keri Hilson said, “Sorry for your loss. ??❤️ God be with your Mother & family❤️??.”

“Oh Evelyn, I’m so sorry for your loss. ??♥️ Praying for you and your family,” a third user commented.

“???? That’s way too close to home. Sorry for your loss love ❤️.”

“Oh no!!! I’m so sorry for your loss @evelynlozada! Praying for your healing and peace during this time of grief❤️??”

A sixth fan said, “I’m so sorry! Sending virtual hugs!! Prayers for your family. May God be with you during this trying time❤️.”

Lozada is one of many celebrities who has lost a loved one to the virus. Minnesota Timberwolves center Karl-Anthony Towns‘ mother, Jacqueline Cruz-Towns, passed away from coronavirus complications on Monday, April 13. As of the afternoon of Wednesday, April 15, there reportedly were more than 615,000 confirmed cases in the United States.
