Social media is fascinated with R&B singer Ciara and her husband Seattle Seahawks quarterback Russell Wilson’s marriage.
Often citing the two as “relationship goals,” both Ciara and Russell were previously in serious relationships. Russell was once married to a woman named Ashton Meem, and Ciara had welcomed her son Future Zahir Wilburn with ex-fiancé and rapper Future in 2014.

In the beginning stages of their relationship, Russell’s mother, Tammy Wilson, gave her son some advice on loving a woman with a child on the Dell and Sonya Curry “Raising Fame: Sports Edition” podcast.
“When he first told me about her, he sent me a picture of her, and I’m like, ‘She looks familiar,’” Tammy said.
“I didn’t really follow Ciara, but I had seen a documentary, either seen a documentary or read an article about her,” Tammy added.
“I’m a mom, I love my kid, and I’m like, ‘Doesn’t she have a kid?’ So he and I had conversations about that,” Tammy admitted.
Tammy decided not to judge the situation and instead told her son, “If you’re really serious about it then you have to love that kid as if it were your own, even if that means you give that kid your name,” Tammy said.
Fans gave their thoughts about Russell’s mother being supportive of her son’s relationship with Ciara.

Russell and Ciara wed in 2016 and welcomed their daughter Sienna Princess Wilson the following year. Ciara announced that she’s expecting baby No. 3 in an Instagram post on Thursday, Jan. 30.
“Number 3. ?: @DangeRussWilson,” she captioned the photo.
